These shutters are available in the exclusive Hunter Douglas Artisan Collection. All the finishes in this collection are applied using six techniques designed to bring out the unique hardwood character and color. Choose from: Glazed, Glazed and Burnished, Classic Distressed, Heirloom Distressed, Rustic and Textured.
Shutters provide you with privacy and elegance and fit specialty shaped windows and doors with designs that are both charming and built to last. With Hunter Douglas Heritance® Shutters you’ll also get Truemill® dovetail construction that tightly connects the wood panels in a strong interlocking bond. Where others use dowels and glue, our shutters are built to last!
You are not limited to traditional horizontal shutter shapes either. The Heritance® Shutters are available in Specialty Shapes, from sunburst to horizontal louvers and you can customize them to the look you desire.
Hunter Douglas supports sustainability by donating to the Arbor Day Foundation® every time a Heritance shutter is purchased, supporting the rainforest and recognizing the important part trees play in our ecosystem.
How Norman® Ultra Shutters are Made?
The louvers of Sussex® NormanTeak™ Shutters are made of quarter-sawn wood, making it more durable and stable, because the wood expands and contracts less.
Sussex® materials are hand-sanded and painted or stained multiple times, resulting in a super-premium, translucent finish.
Prescription Wood Conditioning™ maintains the wood’s long-term structural integrity. Moisture levels throughout the world are different. Our curing and drying processes match the wood’s moisture content to the region in which they will be installed.
